First of all, LtBarclay, great job on getting the site back up and thanks for everything you've done for the community.

I do have one thing to ask of you (or the other mods); would it be possible to move my "Fake Weight Gain" thread back to /gen/? It got moved to /manip/ (I'm guessing because the first post involved CGI images), but based on the nature of what I am asking in the thread, I think it would fit better in /gen/ in terms of both subject matter and increased traffic/possible responses to my query.

Thank you very much for your assistance.

Pic unrelated.

53c62 No.278

It really doesn't belong in General Discussion because you really aren't asking for a discussion, you're asking for content.

Now, /manip/ might not be the best place for it either, perhaps we can settle on /EE/?

I get what you mean… could fake weight gain be considered under the /bbwalt/ umbrella? I've seen some CGI there before.

If not, then sure, I'm fine with /ee/.

So… could I get that move? Thank you.

Since this site is running Tinyboard, is it possible to set threads as cyclic?
Basically, if a cyclic thread has 300 posts and someone makes a new post, the first post is deleted.
I think this could work well for the paid content thread on /bbwdraw/.

29945 No.232

we do have the cycle feature, and i set it for bbwdraw's newest paid content thread.

lock thread?

>>276
well the question has been answered so the thread isn't needed anymore

c143d No.319

I noticed that the cyclical thread fell off the board anyways. I think this is because the cycle count and the bump limit are the same, so the thread stayed at a constant 300 or so posts before getting pruned.

I just made a new thread over at >>>/bbwdraw/13259 to replace the old one. Can a staff member make this thread cyclical too, but keep the cycle count under the bump limit so the thread doesn't autosage? Thanks.

Some guy over on /bbw/ just bumped every single post, effectively scrambling the order of all the posts on the board, making irrelevant ones go to the front page and active ones go to the last. Is there any way to prevent this? Maybe introducing an (adequate) post limit?

I don't know if you guys are aware, but webms haven't been working since the site came back a few weeks ago.

Whenever I try to post a webm, I get this error message "There was a problem processing your webm." Regardless of file size, bitrate, audio encoding, whatever.

What gives?
2 posts omitted. Click reply to view.

682ac No.307

webms are now working again and now you can also post mp4s! 10MB max still.

Glad to hear it. Thanks for taking care of this, guys

Are webms not accepted again?

Sorry for the wait. Is this still an issue? I just posted a webm with no problems.

my bad. I forgot about the audio stream.

I don't get this message most of the time, but I've gotten it several times. Is there anything I can do to try to avoid it? I've noticed that it seems to pop up when I make long posts, which makes it just that much more unfortunate.

It's not something different about the new site, but just a general experience I've had with both sites.

bump

22372 No.269

there is three reasons why this may happen.

1. Your browser may have issues with randomly generated hashes (tinyboard has an anti-bot measure that uses random hashes in the post form)

2. The hash has expired, $config['spam']['hidden_inputs_expire'] sets the time (in seconds) when a hash will expire after a replacement hash has been generated.

3. Hashes can only be used a certain number of times, basically if 10 people go on a board at the same time and $config['spam']['hidden_inputs_max_pass'] is set to 5 only 5 out of the 10 people can post

Refreshing the page gives you a new hash

I don't have access to the config file so I can't tell you what bbw-chan has those two configs set to.

54513 No.283

>>269
We're set at 96 for $config['spam']['hidden_inputs_max_pass']

We're at 60 * 60 * 6 for $config['spam']['hidden_inputs_expire'] (6 hours)

Also, chrome's incognito mode can cause this, I believe.

I've asked this before on the old boards, but could we please get some ground rules as to what is and isn't fair game for "general discussion"? Right now thread moderation in /gen/ is arbitrary based on whether certain mods agree or disagree with the direction a thread is going.

Your site, your rules, so if you want to say that any and all discussion of health issues, political subcultures, and other controversial topics is banned under rules 3 and 5, that's fine, just make it clear that this is the rule. But believe it or not, there are people who like the anonymous imageboard format because it makes it possible to have honest conversation about controversial subjects in the BBW/FA community without getting caught up in personality drama, and we'd appreciate some clear-cut guidelines, if only to keep us from wasting our time posting in threads that end up getting locked.

The thread watcher seems to be broken, it doesn't show when there are new replies on a thread that you are watching

b3a7e No.300

>>297
Last I checked you had to have the thread open in a new tab with the Watcher enabled to get updates is that what you're doing?

68ca0 No.302

>>300
the number doesn't change when replies are made, i'd suggest you make sure the thread watcher is set up right if nothing seems wrong then try stealing code from 8chans repo

I deleted your file because you didn't blackout the password which would make it possible for other people to delete your posts

Any chance that the report reason field can have its character limit extended? I'm sure more detailed reports will help the moderators decide on what action needs to be taken. Assuming you can see the IPs of people reporting posts, just ban them if they abuse the field.

I only really frequent the drawn boards, but my experience so far with this new iteration of bbw-chan has been that the mods are incredibly trigger-happy, ready and willing to lock threads and ban people at the drop of a hat. The over-emphasis on "if you don't like it, hide it" is also quite stifling when you see someone getting banned for posting a snarky reaction image in response to a dump of shitty MS Paint drawings and circle tool garbage.

A Kip thread just got locked because a mod decided to ban someone for insulting Kip, left the post there with a ban message (instead of just removing the post), and then locked it when people started talking about it. Not shitposting, not arguing, not planning a raid or shit-talking, just discussing; people were even posting images so it wasn't just walls of text for those who didn't care.

On top of all of this shit, there's still garbage like the Axel threads spinning down the drain 30 or 40 posts in, and it goes completely unchecked.

Fucking ease off, or get new mods, I don't even want to post here anymore for fear of getting banned (which, for the record, I haven't) because a moderator didn't like my tone. If you wanted to build a nice, comfy, padded hugbox where everyone silently posts images and nobody ever complains or argues, you should've disabled text posting altogether.

Also, by the way, there's no fucking reason to have multiple stickies clogging up the first page of any board. Consolidate them into a single sticky, or better yet, just stick them on the rules page, it's there for a reason. If people don't read the fucking rules, they deserve to be banned anyhow.

"the mods are incredibly trigger-happy, ready and willing to lock threads and ban people at the drop of a hat."

"If people don't read the fucking rules, they deserve to be banned anyhow."

ok!

p.s. hiding the thread if you don't like the content is a rule. can't have it both ways, bub.
p.p.s. i'd wager at least a dozen kip threads have had to be locked because of the derailing re: trans issues. we acted based on history.
