Can we have non-English threads in /elite?
If so, which languages can be properly checked by moderators?

banned for trying to help

I replied to a comment a week ago in BBW Real board you wrote regarding files.fm links automatically getting deleted when visitors coming from this site address.
I then told about my experience to go around the same issue (rapidshare, megaupload era) by using anonym.to (now dead) or hidemyass for all links going out from site. You know how that works.

When I submitted that message I got an immediately got "You are banned for ever!"

Why?

Is she off limits? I'm totally missing something. All the threads I've either seen or made about her have been within the rules, but are quickly deleted. Not looking for a ban hete by posting another one, just wondering what the boundaries are and why with her.

Suggestions

Hey, how about a thread for quick suggestions. Mainly on how to better things from the previous bbw-chan. I'll go first: Working ability to hide threads!

Critique and Feedback thread

Mods I'm sure people would be more inclined to donate something if you listened to your community a little more. From what I've seen in previous threads on /booty, anyone saying something remotely negative is essentially playing with dice as to whether or not they will be banned, regardless of whether it is an opinion or not.

Also some added transparency would be nice, like why are some threads bumplocked and others aren't? And what happened to the AKU thread? Personally I think each board would benefit from some kind of meta thread, but that's up to you I suppose. I'm not even sure how you will take this honest bit of critique, but I hope that you will at least read it and see if you find something you agree with instead of just dismissing it solely on the grounds that it is a critique. It's purpose is to help, not to defame, or attack. I sincerely hope you take this critique, and the critique of others into consideration, as I expect you cannot hope to have the respect and money of the people whom you seldom listen to and respect, if that is indeed the case anyway.

I hope that other's can also express their opinions within this thread, and also discuss their personal opinions and beliefs upon how the site is run themselves, and under what conditions they would consider donating.

If nothing else, you could see who would be interested in advertising on this site, similar to other image boards which are not donation run.

Beggars spamming "bump" without contributing anything at all

Could we get a mod message on the boards telling people to stop using files.fm please? The site no longer works, links go down within minutes, and all it's doing is wasting the uploader's time and filling the threads with re-upload begging.

When I'm browsing a board, the up/down arrow keys jump the page to the beginning of the next thread instead of just scrolling down a line or two. I assume this is in the Javascript somewhere, but is there an easy way to disable this? I'm on a laptop with a tiny trackpad and no extended keyboard, so it's a pain when scrolling with the arrow keys doesn't behave normally.

BBBXXL Threads

Are we seeing the beginnings of a DNP list because of her? Not because of model complaints, but because of an inability to have discussion?

Furries had to be relocated?

Aside from the fact that I think specific admin and Uknon are one and the same, and the bias towards Loli content compared to Furry/Anthro seems bass-ackwards, why do normal boards still have Loli content? Loli is actually illegal in more places than Furry. We don't like seeing that stuff, either. Segregate the boards fairly, or make everyone risk seeing stuff they don't want to.

Pic is for whoever made the executive decision.

Moving my thread

First of all, LtBarclay, great job on getting the site back up and thanks for everything you've done for the community.

I do have one thing to ask of you (or the other mods); would it be possible to move my "Fake Weight Gain" thread back to /gen/? It got moved to /manip/ (I'm guessing because the first post involved CGI images), but based on the nature of what I am asking in the thread, I think it would fit better in /gen/ in terms of both subject matter and increased traffic/possible responses to my query.

Thank you very much for your assistance.

Pic unrelated.

Cyclical threads

Since this site is running Tinyboard, is it possible to set threads as cyclic?
Basically, if a cyclic thread has 300 posts and someone makes a new post, the first post is deleted.
I think this could work well for the paid content thread on /bbwdraw/.

Some guy over on /bbw/ just bumped every single post, effectively scrambling the order of all the posts on the board, making irrelevant ones go to the front page and active ones go to the last. Is there any way to prevent this? Maybe introducing an (adequate) post limit?

Webm Support

I don't know if you guys are aware, but webms haven't been working since the site came back a few weeks ago.

Whenever I try to post a webm, I get this error message "There was a problem processing your webm." Regardless of file size, bitrate, audio encoding, whatever.

What gives?

"Your request looks automated; Post discarded."

I don't get this message most of the time, but I've gotten it several times. Is there anything I can do to try to avoid it? I've noticed that it seems to pop up when I make long posts, which makes it just that much more unfortunate.

It's not something different about the new site, but just a general experience I've had with both sites.

I've asked this before on the old boards, but could we please get some ground rules as to what is and isn't fair game for "general discussion"? Right now thread moderation in /gen/ is arbitrary based on whether certain mods agree or disagree with the direction a thread is going.

Your site, your rules, so if you want to say that any and all discussion of health issues, political subcultures, and other controversial topics is banned under rules 3 and 5, that's fine, just make it clear that this is the rule. But believe it or not, there are people who like the anonymous imageboard format because it makes it possible to have honest conversation about controversial subjects in the BBW/FA community without getting caught up in personality drama, and we'd appreciate some clear-cut guidelines, if only to keep us from wasting our time posting in threads that end up getting locked.

Thread Watcher

The thread watcher seems to be broken, it doesn't show when there are new replies on a thread that you are watching

Increase the length of the report reason field

Any chance that the report reason field can have its character limit extended? I'm sure more detailed reports will help the moderators decide on what action needs to be taken. Assuming you can see the IPs of people reporting posts, just ban them if they abuse the field.

Over-moderation

I only really frequent the drawn boards, but my experience so far with this new iteration of bbw-chan has been that the mods are incredibly trigger-happy, ready and willing to lock threads and ban people at the drop of a hat. The over-emphasis on "if you don't like it, hide it" is also quite stifling when you see someone getting banned for posting a snarky reaction image in response to a dump of shitty MS Paint drawings and circle tool garbage.

A Kip thread just got locked because a mod decided to ban someone for insulting Kip, left the post there with a ban message (instead of just removing the post), and then locked it when people started talking about it. Not shitposting, not arguing, not planning a raid or shit-talking, just discussing; people were even posting images so it wasn't just walls of text for those who didn't care.

On top of all of this shit, there's still garbage like the Axel threads spinning down the drain 30 or 40 posts in, and it goes completely unchecked.

Fucking ease off, or get new mods, I don't even want to post here anymore for fear of getting banned (which, for the record, I haven't) because a moderator didn't like my tone. If you wanted to build a nice, comfy, padded hugbox where everyone silently posts images and nobody ever complains or argues, you should've disabled text posting altogether.

Also, by the way, there's no fucking reason to have multiple stickies clogging up the first page of any board. Consolidate them into a single sticky, or better yet, just stick them on the rules page, it's there for a reason. If people don't read the fucking rules, they deserve to be banned anyhow.

posting issues today

looks like the board is picky today. results in no posts or multi-posts.

Thread Disappearances

We've had two seperate threads dedicated to Touhou disappear from /bbwdraw/ within a short span of time.

Is the site fucking up, or is there a new rule against Touhou fats?

Separate board for shitposting and drama?

Could we get a /trash/ or /drama/ board to get all of the garbage threads and posts off of the other boards?

I'm really tired of seeing "HEY LETS AIR OUR GRIEVANCES ABOUT THIS ARTIST/CAMGIRL/WHATEVER" threads, which offer zero content and little meaningful discussion, or seeing unrelated threads turn into drama-mongering garbage. At some point, "If you don't like it, hide it" no longer applies when it leaks into every thread on a board. A separate board would also allow for people to continue posting terrible things, just elsewhere, where it's not shitting up other threads that should ostensibly be for posting content.

There's also a difference between good old anonymous harshness and shitposting namefags like Uknon who do nothing but stir up shit in every thread they can. The Axel thread on /bbwdraw/ is a great example. It started out for posting edits, then concentrated shitposting turned it into, "Fuck this artist, I hope they fail and die and never work again," and has, as of the past few days, become a burning garbage heap where a couple of autists are having a pissing contest.

Please consider it, posting quality on the board has already taken a nosedive over the past few years.

"Your post looks automated."

Been trying to post in a couple threads, getting this message. Did I do something to upset admin?

Pic unrelated.

Try to replicate double and triple posting here.

Recently we've had an issue where posts are being replicated as they are submitted, with no rhyme or reason behind it. If this has happened to you, please post here, letting me know what browser, if you were mobile, if you tried to attach anything, if you got errors during posting, etc. We'll try and figure this out.
R: 2 / I: 3
please make a /wg weight gain thread to let bbw & BHM compare their results not only for gainers but also for people who enjoy and can compare what they have collected

I know this is an odd request. But I need the administrator of this site to BAN ME. Pleaseā€¦ can you ban me please?

Hiding threads broken

Hiding threads seems to be broken now… If you hide it once, then visit later when there are new posts then the replies still appear in the hidden thread, which kinda defeats the point of thread hiding in the first place. See photo for what this looks like.

Good shit

I'm very happy with the move

-I haven't seen any child porn ads yet
-Support for webms
-Support for posting multiple images
-You can hide threads

I think the new administration has done a great job so far, keep it up.

Male boards

I thought we were getting rid of BHM, Penis, and Futa? They still seem to be there. :(
