Phase 2 Array Test LtBarclay 10/03/2017 (Tue) 08:12:10 No. 297
Scaling enabled, reboots once a day to get a new IP (3AM CST) to get around mab limit, deducts hashes on file completion instead of request, and a few other fixes. Get testing! This phase will go the entire week, unless any issues are found that require taking the array down to fix.

https://bbw-chan.nl/newfodarray.html

Just a reminder, if you don't use the array but want to support the site, feel free to leave name box blank and mine when you can.
the array apears to not be working
it does not respond to any commands i type
I keep getting post seems to be automated; post discarded, what's up with that? I can't even post anything
Sorry about the downtime, I fat fingered some of the new code. We're back up.

Post automated post discarded can happen from incognito mode.
"I do not see that you have a balance. Are you sure that you typed your name correctly?"

What is that supposed to mean?
Do things get added to the array lists?
>>301
It means either you aren't mining, or if you are then you haven't entered your username from the array. Have you clicked on the newfodarray link at the top of this thread?
how many hashes does it cost to upload one video?
>>304
at least 25 ACCEPTED hashes, but the larger the file the more hashes you need but 60 accepted hashes is the max right now. Oh, and to answer your other question, yes things are added on a fairly regular basis, you will notice the date they were added in the lists.
>>305
then why aren't there any files of newer big cuties like nova, rey, fleur, and ruby?
>>306
have they been uploaded here? If the answer is no, then you have your answer.
>>307
But there are files that have been uploaded here that aren't on the array
>>308
While the array handles reuploading content automatically, additions to the lists are a manual process. That means I have to actually download, extract, sort, copy, and sometimes convert videos by hand before they get added. It can take up to two weeks after something is posted on the board to show up on the array. I also don't archive -everything-: you guys post a lot of content and we don't have the space for everything. I'd wager I get about 80% of it… some things I miss before they expire… some things are really low quality and not worth saving…and some things I just personally don't find redeeming and choose not to save it. It's not a perfect system.
if you can use js or have basic programming
experience you can use a software called action to automatically grab the files name format based on criteria it can decompress and compress and do just about anything
the bot seems to mix up its accepted hashes
the counter at the top says i have 190 accepted hashes but if i try to request a video it says i ony have 20
>>311
Im having the same problem, it always says I only have 24 hashes and that I need 25.
Are hashes only 'accepted' if they solve part of the block or something? I don't do mining, but 50 accepted hashes out of 11.5k generated seems pretty low, and hardly worthwhile even on a modern notebook.
>>314
Same, was actually looking forward to point my i7 at for once…
I like the new system a lot, but I don't understand why the bot requires you to have 25 credits just to run foduploadpast. You may disagree, but I personally feel that it's a bug. I feel like "you are currently registered and mining" should be the only requirement for that (the first error message I got was before I even started mining, and I felt it was totally justified. But then I started mining and got to 6 accepted hashes and it gave me this different complaint).
Top tip: Make sure you get rid of any kind of adblocker, privacy extension prior to visiting the site, and I'm sure you'll get a different response.

Even if its something like Privacy badger or HTTPS everywhere.
Anyone find that if you accidently hit the divide between the chat screen and the members online list on the right you can't stop it from moving about left-to right all the time?

Anyone know how to stop it ? Gets a little annoying. Tried clicking away, tapping the touchscreen etc but it still remains active and wants resize all the time.
>>316
Look at it this way, mining is essentially the only way we are getting money to run the array. Now, nothing is deducted from your hashes to get the foduploadpast list, however we do want you to have a minimum amount of mining under your belt before having access to that list.
Unsurprisingly, nearly half the user base of the array doesn't care to make any requests of their own. They are perfectly content to jump on the array, grab the past list, and immediately disconnect. The 25 hash requirement for the past list is to prevent drive-bys.

At most, it should take you 15 minutes to get 25 hashes on a really old device. I think 0.001 cents worth of mining is a decent deal for 1000+ videos at your fingertips.
This is actually a better experience personally. virtually no wait for the array because people aren't hoarding and I have a bad ass new pc so I am mining faster than I can use it.
Couple things that would be nice. Is to see how many hashes you have remaining in your balance.
Also it would be really cool if there was a way to generate a list sorted by date the content was uploaded to the array. Idk if you guys can manage that but it would be cool.
Would someone be able to explain why this happens to me? Do you have to add the accepted hashes to your balance or something?
>>323
Make sure the username you sign into the channel with is the same as the one in the miner box. I made that mistake once.
>>324
That was it, thank you!
So, I was trying to use the array today like all the other times before, but my AVG anti virus stopped and warned me about some kind of JS coinhive malware thing (don't remember the actual name)

Is this some DEFCON 1 stuff I should be worried about or is AVG just a little too worried this time ;)
>>326
I got a virus warning too.

This is a 'tralse' positive. True, if a website embedded the miner and ran it automatically without you knowing, that would clearly be malware. In our case, it's false, as we clearly advertise it and you must opt-in and start the mining process yourself.

Sorry about the downtime today, not sure what happened. Both bots were running but not connected. Still, they made it over a week just fine, so that's really good.
oh no array is closed;( i mined almost 80c in a few days and downloaded few vids and now it's closed. please can we have another testing later. what we can't have 50$ per month. I can stop unplugging my pc at all and mine
