I come with a query.

I'm currently in the planning/early development stages of a text adventure that follows a format of:

Quick introduction story

Interactive

Two seperate stories as "endings"/prizes, if you will

It's basically a post-apocolyptic (cliched to hell, I know) US that's been reduced to a small fortified strip of several miles, who are organizing a raid against a factory.

The factory will be akin to a cult, with various levels stationed by higher "ranked" officials, who are deeper and deeper into stages of gluttony.

I guess my real question is, how big of a balance should I strike between fetishy bullshit and semi-serious gameplay?

I'd suggest the opposite approach, imo. If it's a game, it should feel like a game, otherwise there's a ton of CYOA stories and fetish lit/art out there to compete with.

Make it fun and engaging and consider the fetish content the icing on the cake rather than the cake itself. Delicious, but it's not as filling.

Seriously I must have gone through a hundred of those intereactive text games last night and they're all awful or unfinished or both. But the very worst were the ones where the author has such a high opinion of themself that they think you're interested in their unique world or characters and want to you spend 30 minutes reading about them before finding a shred of actual content.

Seriously, there are thousands of options for fetish content that don't require any real effort to acquire, so why would anyone bother with the game format unless they want to play a game? I mean, I'm not expecting a masterpiece, but something like that stuffing rpg is pretty solid for what we've got.

The approach I'm taking is something like this.
Game play, fetish content, and story are are the three factors to consider when starting a game. Too much of one and too little of another will spoil the whole thing.
Focus on game play will just end up putting people off until the amount of fetish content eventually catches up to it, and too much focus on fetish content will have people skipping through scenes as fast as possible just to get to the next fat of she.
Fetish content overall is probably the most important, but characters should be at least mildly interesting or people will get bored, and game play should be around Pokemon level of difficulty, where at worst you'll only have to fight something a few times if it's giving you trouble.
The most important thing I can tell you though is don't punish people for making the player fat. A lot of people make this mistake and it's pretty much the opposite of what everyone wants, You can however punish a player for being TOO fat, but the severity usually depends on a variety of factors.

TLDR: I vomit my bad opinions out in a wall of text.

Fetish stuff> game play> story.

I hate letting people down, but at some point you have to just say fuck it and make the game for yourself. If you take every criticism and suggestion to heart, you end up working on a game that you aren't even into anymore, and for free. That's not beneficial to any party.

If someone can make a decent balance of all these elements, that's great, but I feel that people should err on the side of more fetish content. I don't want to go through something for two hours to be left disappointed.

You could always did what Axl did and make it so that whenever you complete a section of the game you get a fetish scene that gives you buffs and items. Meant that you would like to finish sections because you know there would be a reward down the line.

But his was really a 1 in a million chance where his weird OCs and story didn't really get in the way of the fetish stuff and gameplay. No way people can replicate that every time, since mostly it ends up being cringe-worthy.

Every game has 'gameplay'; ie- the way you as a player, interacts with the medium. It just manifests in different ways.

The main thing you need to manage with a text adventure is player commands (have uniform rules for command syntax and unless it's supposed to be a puzzle, tell sure the player what to expect!) and dialogue interactivity (be context sensitive!), but there's a lot you can actually implement with modern text adventure engines, as the craziness that was that leupai game showed

You are correct. It is ridiculously easy to learn. The only hard parts are spriting and trying to figure out how to code things that aren't standard to rpg games, like weight gain, and eating enemies. Most of this has already been figured out by me or another one of us using rpgmaker so even then you don't have to figure it out alone.

Ok this is going to be a long one.

Step 1: Have every food or weight gain spell ally a state called "eating(X) I use 1-5.

Step2: Have your common event set to check a character for the eating states, and then remove the eating states and increase a variable based on how large the eating state was.

Step3: Have your common event change a characters picture once the number on said variable has been met. Make sure to add the current weight level as a state, and remove the one before and after it.

Step4: Make sure your common event checks to see if you variable has gone over or under your maximum and minimum weight levels, and sets it back to either 0 or your max number.

Step4: Add whatever fun stuff you wanted. Learn and forget spells based on weight levels, gain and lose access to items, and so forth.

I need you guys' help. Don't know who's on the stardew valley threads in /draw/, but I'm trying to do an /alt/ crop mod where all the crops are growing ladies, as a side project. I tried asking them and they suggested hair growth, so I realized I need a more depraved group. So far I have blueberry tf, slime inflation, egg preg, and some green slug inflation thing. If anybody has any ideas that'd be great. If it's a good idea I'd be willing to add it in as a character of your choice, as I need ideas for hairstyles too.

I'm not going to make an account to add the message. So I'll list them here like a jerkass.

>It's nice that the animals and humans can walk around now. However, they are known to block the way and won't move. For example, the horse blocking the first cave before speaking to Lina will sometimes move into the cave entrance's way and never move away until you run off screen.

>As stated both on here and in the reports thread, consuming something that isn't naturally consumable (i.e. a Cluckdragon or a rat) will force the enemy to become invincible. You cannot kill it in any fashion, not even with the murder test item.

That invul Cluckdragon was what made me quit early, just had to quit early from having the sex scene bug being so close in time.

1. Book on Lanas nightstand can only be read from the side but not the front.

2. Is Poised supposed to work on everyone because it sounds like a user locked skill.

3. In the farm girl vege event when you finish with the scene and inspect the empty crates, they turn into other items when you check them until you finish with the text.

To answer number 2, that is only for Phage.
And yeah, some of the sprites seem to jump around when you examine them. Another example is when the pie eating contest is over and you visit Maca's house, you can examine the newly placed pie and it will transform into a roasted pig during the text box. Afterwards, it will go back to being a pie.

I don't know exactly when it occurs, I went back to Pellet Town when I had completed the story. Basically the girl in the weapons shop hosts a pie eating contest to fund her traveling adventures and Lotta can enter for 200 gold. You face off against the barmaid, the mom of Maca (the farmgirl who eats a ton) and Lina. You tap the action key to eat and if you win, you get a piece of clothing that isn't implemented yet. I think it's called "Glutton's Napkin"? It doesn't do anything. And you can lose. You can retry again to win.

Weight seems to differ from the last build. In the last build, it would give you more health with no consequences. In this build, it gives you more defense. But if you keep eating past a certain point, you begin to lose health due to tummyaches…Except for Lotta. She seems to be immune to getting hurt from overengorging.
If you want to remove your fat, you need antacids. An antacid takes off one layer of fat. Antacid Max returns your body to normal.

Okay, retried the contest. Apparently it DOES something. There's a trinket option that wasn't there in the last build. It increases your chance to gain weight from eating foods.
Another minor bug. If you take off Lina's "bra" before the contest, her sprite is still wearing it. Probably due to some sense of dignity, but yeah.

I'm having trouble finding the cause of 3 bugs. Getting second place in the eating contest, the sex scene messing up and phage leaving her wagon and slimming back down. I'll try and get most of these fixed by tomorrow, but anyone able to recreate them with details would be extremely helpful.

You need to find all six cupcakes first. One is a treasure from beating the cupcake golem. Another is given to you by Maca to keep quiet about her veggie binge. The other four are located in the inn, the weapon's shop, the bar, and behind Lana's house. After you give them all to the girl, she says she's going to run off the weight. You'll find her next to the inn extremely fat from cakes.
To actually fug her, you need Lana's private toy from her room. It's next to the bedstand next to her bed. Then talk to the girl.
Note: if you are not fat-free, you cannot have sex.

While in the scene, how do you get out of it? I am stuck in the scene no matter what button I press, and I can't switch to any of the other scenes.

Alright, home now so testing begins. I like how you took notice of my horse dilemma before and have it moving to a fixed location instead of randomly roaming about. Also yay for the ability to run away again!

Okay, so I'll address what I've seen thus far and comment on the positives and negatives.
>+ Yay the horse moved out of the way of the cave! And in a fixed route too!
>+Consume function works correctly against non-edible creatures and doesn't kill the game.
>+Escaping is working again. I can run away from weak creatures with ease again.
>-The cutscene I mentioned before with Lotta and Phage in their room at the inn still happens. You can push down to escape the room before the cutscene begins, when they walk to their bed, and (ADDENDUM) when the screen goes black but before Lotta tells Phage to go back to her bed. You're invisible, you can fight monsters, and talk to people/animals. The addendum part actually causes the screen to go pitch black. It all fixes itself when you complete the full cutscene.
>+-You fixed the cupcake girl allowing for doggie sex to be used more than the first encounter. BUT I am still having problems about leaving the sex scene and being invisible. Here's what I did. 1. Activate the scene itself by talking to her with the toy in inventory. 2. Select any of the four positions. 3. Push X to bring up the menu. 4. Push X again to exit out of the menu, but also hold down the Down key. That allows you to walk away and not be able to interact with the scene if you walk completely away. If you had only pushed down, you can just walk forward again towards the scene and push the Z button, where you can finish that position and it'll move on like nothing happened.
>>In addition to the above, I tested what happens when you do this scene and run to another part of the map to activate another cutscene. The results are simple–you do the cutscene and it returns your sprites to being visible. BUT the results to the cupcake girl? She's still in the last position you left her. And hilariously enough, if you mash the Z button either in front or back of her 1x1 body, she flips between doing the "eating out" position and the "doggie style" position for a frame before going back to her "feed" position.

This is just bashing my head against everything thus far for the past hour. You've fixed a lot of my petty niggles, but the last few are still borken.

I'm going to be redoing the whole the mine quest, so I haven't been fixing any of the bugs related to it.

There were 2 bugs causing peoplr to walk away during the cupcake girl scene. I fixed one of them thinking that was the end of it. I've now gone back and fixed the other one, but every time I make changes to this event it stops working in another way. I'm also aware of a few bugs regarding moment and cutscnes but neither I nor anyone else can seem to find a method to recreate them.

So I've been level grinding a bit in the factory as a not so mindless way to stuff the girls as well as get their levels up.

I'm noticing that it seems to take a while to get their bellies back after using a max antacid. Not only that but it almost seems like some of the monsters that spawn don't change their belly size at all.

Yes. I wasn't a fan of how once you beat an area in an rpg you almost never go back. Every town is going to have more stuff to do after you beat the first half of the story.
I'll be adding better fast travel later on so it won't be as much work.

Shame, I mean I've seen average dosages of this in different games, but never in large quantities, or the best it is is usually the narration or something telling you a black and white "you're too big for X" statement. I tell you though even if the system itself were doing it it would get me off pretty well to be told I'm physically unfit often enough.
For me, I appreciate the reaction or reception moresoe than the fact itself is. I love not just seeing the pants bursting, or can't get smaller things on anymore, but also people's reactions or natural effects. Much more satisfying than sort of… just being that size inconsequentially.

it doesn't matter if the game is lewd or not in content, crafting a game engine from scratch is just creating more roadblocks upfront. I can't think of a single, living fork directly from CoC's source code, and the only thing left is modifying CoC directly through mods.

I couldn't tell where the hamper was for after gym class, so I just tried changing everywhere (although you had to change in the bathroom first, so it really threw me off). I'm not sure if the game still thinks your in PE uniform because it gave me the message as if I was when going to the cafeteria.
Although the first floor vending machine is off, it gave me a cola every time I talked to it, which I could use to loop the scene where I give Arisa the soda.
I think it would help telling the players where things, like the next class or objective, are. It's a school, so maybe having directions to this classroom or that classroom would be helpful.

Yup. Shouldn't have called it a demo, more of a sneak peek if anything into the dialogue/world. Besides the two interactions with the sacrificial girl and the barebones combination system, that's all that's in the demo. I just got the "karma" system in the game working, and I'm implementing some puzzles with that/various rooms that won't allow access, or puzzles that will straight up not work if your karma is too high/low.

Now that I have all the systems in place (size factors/weight, plus the karma system) I can really start throwing in content. This is going to be the first "floor" of the dungeon, at which point I'll do a release… And then the second floor, and etc..

It's going to be very traditional, with a straight-forward path and lots of side content (ideally, anyways. We'll see how big it gets before I get too overwhelmed).

A guy opened up a patreon to support a flash fan game of the level that was done for free for years. I mean demonstration as in how devs try to sell games to publishers. They don't really have it down yet so they rely on a few things and words to get interest. Demos have the area they're showing finished along with the key gameplay while the text game was about 1min of talking to people with the only variance in choice being go further or game over and some slight bloating from shrooms and wine. It did grab my interest until it ended abruptly so I do hope it keeps your interest long enough to put your full idea down.

4. There… definitely is a save option. You just have to either A. download the game and run it through the client, or B. make an account. That's the only way to save. Not my fault the engine is built that way.

There's three different ways to get past the final boss, yes. I'm not going to spoil how, but they all work (tested them already)- you just have to find them.

Again, the game is unfinished. I get these complaints every time. So I'm probably just not going to post anymore demos, honestly. It's frustrating to put days of work into these things and then get the same five complaints over and over. I've been very transparent about what is and isn't done, and yet people flip the fuck out about how things aren't finished.

Right now everyone starts with the belly only default body. It's mostly because of a lack of completed sprites.
I completely understand not wanting the play the same game over and over again 100 times. You can only save Lana's fat sister so many times before you start banging you head against the wall, but the problem is you basically have to start over every update or it will mess things up. I had intended to ask some bugtesters to send me their save files but I completely forgot in the end. I'll try and make sure this gets done next time.

I've been playing around with Plague Inc for a while now and I really appreciate all the mods for it, which can really turn the game into anything. It got me thinking, would there be any interest for a weight gain mod for plague inc?

Slowly infect the world with symptoms like gluttony, weight gain, increased hunger, laziness etc.

And as the symptoms abilities etc. all have to be bought, it could mean health issues for people who like that stuff, inflation, blueberry expansion whatever.

The code would be pretty easy to do, the only problem would be creating the model on the right that changes as you upgrade the virus.

Four. Sized go normal, full, stuffed, over stuffed, engorged, over engorged, and glutted(this one).
Full is really so small there doesn't need to be a change but for the rest of them it would be a smaller belly than the fat body sprites, but a bigger butt with no changes to the upper body.
Whoops double posting. I forgot to mention that the second template psd has all the fat body sprites as layers if you'd like a size reference. It's a bit more organized than the other one.

Before the wave of anti-kisekae shitposting in response to the spanish guy, I'm gonna go out on a limb and remind people that kisekae is capable of doing some pretty neat stuff, it's just that most people who use it are terrible with it. I've always been a huge proponent of "If you can't draw, learn to use kisekae, because it's better than awful scribble drawings or trying to fit your content around whatever pictures you're poaching for art"

Also, it's capable of producing even better stuff if you're even slightly competent with Photoshop/GIMP, which again, most people don't bother with.

Okay, just found an additional bug. I loaded the endgame save and did the first eating contest just fine. I then went to the second town, got the bakery girl, the redhead warrior and the mansion girl again, but now, when I entered the thieves guild, the purple haired thief wasn't there anymore. She didn't appear at the eating contest either, so I can't start the contest with this save either.

You have to change your system locale to Korea as Administrator, then extract the first file and run the second .exe which is the installer.

The game is pretty good.

Almost all of the spritework is great, MC weights and enemies, and with proper animations wouldn't look out of place in an actual game, especially the final boss.

Combat is basically walking up to an enemy and flipping a coin to see who deals damage to the other, with your character getting fatter with each failure, the final one being an immobility game-over. That made the final boss kinda a bitch however, since it takes 10 successful hits to beat, when you can only take 5.

Visuals: 9/10
Story: 7/10
Gameplay: 4/10
Fetish Content: 7/10

Overall: 7.5/10

The game might be looking for filename in korean that your computer has translated into placeholder gibberish, or it's not even there. Try re-extracting the game zip

Nevermind i found out the issue.

I just changed the computer locale and forgot to go the the Administrative Tab to change the locale.

The other person probably did the same thing.

It's me, would have replied to this earlier when I was posted but the board is really weird when it comes to responding sometimes.

But yeah the story visuals where very impressive overall, and idk if it was me but I didn't have any trouble with the final boss. I think, THINK, that hitting enter can stop the spinner sooner as when I was doing that with some timing I was landing more hits than failures and was able to beat said final boss my first time.

Overall it was nicely done, though I do wish there was more. Was a nice little thing to fill in the gap while I wait for the next content update from Mr Stuffingrpgmakerguy's game though.

Yes, but >>4841 is has a point; there's just not enough regular updates here to support it atm. However, that's probably at least partly due to being in alt, where it doesn't really belong. It would make more sense in /ee/ or /bbwdraw/, were it not for for these games often having content relevant to various other sub-boards (eg; furries).

Hell, the text-based games have more in common with /elite/ than this board, not to mention certain active posters there being the makers of said games!
Anyone have the game Debu Plus?

The pictures from the game can be found in a e-hentai gallery by searching for that name. And I was at one point able to find the successor: "Motto! Debutopia", but I can't for the life of me procure the original game.

So the Gotcha Protectors people made a game for it's anniversary about their bikini armored character having to go on a diet. If you don't succeed, your character in the results screen is a little pudgier than she thought she was before she started the diet.

Boundless is dead as far as I know. The original creator has stopped working on it, and the revival mod being made was too shut down by the original creator.
