Writing.com thread Number whatever jerkajerk/ikearct 06/10/2017 (Sat) 17:39:36 No. 1407
Old thread was dying! Very sad, folks.

Here's a new one, complete with plenty of fun links to various interactives (and my dumb commentary on them)

http://www.writing.com/main/interact/item_id/1856959-Buttercombe-Academy-for-Growing-Girls

Absolute classic. You want girls going to a school and getting fat and stuff? IT'S LIKE MY JAPANESE ANIMES BUT WAY SEXIER WITH LOTS OF FLABBY BELLIES

http://www.writing.com/main/interact/item_id/1819934-Alice-the-Fat-Cheerleader/action/recent_chapters

Hey, what's the first fatty story you ever read if you're an old fuck like me? PROBABLY ALICE THE CHEERLEADER BY THE EVER PRESENT MOLLYCODDLES

http://www.writing.com/main/interact/item_id/1708920-FGAL-Deleted-Scenes-Nikkis-Sweatpants

Fat Girls ARE Life, if this chan is anything to be believed! And FGAL, if you're reading this: I miss you <3

http://www.writing.com/main/interact/item_id/1910371-Your-Expanding-Sister

I wrote in this one, one time. I'm not sure why because incest ain't my thing, but there's an entire thread devoted to it, so there ya go.

http://www.writing.com/main/interact/item_id/1213992-Hesper

HESPER! What if you and everyone you've ever known got so ridiculously fat that it was, in a word, ridiculous? Well, that's this. I'd say it's a 70/30 Male to Female split, but still worth a read.

http://www.writing.com/main/interact/item_id/1856570-Gluttony-and-Glory-Adventuress-WG

I'm in the middle/final stretch of writing a fantasy-based, old school inspired fatty game. This interactive and it's various spawn are part of the reason why.

http://www.writing.com/main/interact/item_id/1946278-Dragons-Crown-Female-WG

The Barbarian from this game is fucking amazing. THAT IS ALL

http://www.writing.com/main/interact/item_id/1167851-Your-Fat-Family

Arguably the O.G. writing.com story that every fat aficionado has read at some point. Some of the storylines are straight up fat babies, which is… A thing. :I

http://www.writing.com/main/interact/item_id/1933610-Office-fatty

IF YOU'VE EVER WORKED IN AN OFFICE YOU KNOW THE ONE LADY WHO LITERALLY EATS GARBAGE AND GAINS WEIGHT AND THEN WHINES ABOUT IT AND THIS IS WHAT THIS GAME IS OKAY

http://www.writing.com/main/interact/item_id/1943345-The-Jock-and-the-Cheerleader

This interactive has one of my favorite fat descriptions ever. CAN YOU FIND IT?

http://www.writing.com/main/interact/item_id/1833921-Tiffanys-World-An-SSBBW-Tale

FGAL, seriously, come back please.

https://www.writing.com/main/interact/item_id/2041198-Super-Sized-the-Mel-Carlyle-Story

Basically a love-letter to FGAL's stories, and my current favorite thing to write in.

OK, I'm sure I forgot a bunch so feel free to post them <3
Alice the fat cheerleader was my first as well.
Im only 24 though. Shit is that old now?
>>1409
Alice has been around for such a long time it transcends time. Can you believe the first chapter came out pre-9/11?
>>1411
really!?
I too, have been enjoying working on Super-Sized again.

>>1409
Think about it this way; I'm 23. I've been writing for 9 years. That's nine years of people coming to/realizing that they have a weight gain/fat fetish. You've got kids who were born in 2000 & up coming in and seeing all this for the first time.

Yeah, we're kinda old. At least on the internet.

>>1413
Yup, it's practically a staple of the community.
>>1414
wow
I didn't know that
what about the rest of them ?

>>1409

You may as well be dead in the ground, you old FUCK!

Just kidding, but seriously, you're 24 and are but a child.

>>1411

I remember watching the events of 9/11 unfold in my Home Ec. class. We weren't allowed to go home early "unless we knew relatives involved in the tragedy". Several people I knew lied to get out of class. I, however, did not stoop so low.

>>1414

>tfw Bobo is younger than you by several years and yet way better at writing

I'm glad you're having fun in Mel though :3
There's currently a line of stuff being made for a pregnant/fat interactive called Gluttons(a sequel of sorts to RenaGlutton), sadly, while it's a good deal of writing, it feels kinda shit with all the sumo shit involved.
I do not like Sumo, well, in my fetish stuff I mean, it's an alright sport to watch.

https://www.writing.com/main/interact/item_id/1939554-Gluttons

Seriously, the Vanilla storyline, it deals with a pregnant woman who's a sumo, the WORST job for a pregnant woman…
>>1421

Briefly checked this story out. Seems pretty "Anime" in it's writing, which is whatever.

Naming something "Gluttons" introduces fun ideas, having it immediately involve a series that most people had a weird Waifu crush on from 99-200X is risky, and having it exclusively include a 'Mon from that show, and then have it get into… Sumo Matches… I guess????????

I dunno, seems doomed for failure. But that's just my opinion.
>>1407
https://www.writing.com/main/interact/item_id/2072923-Davens-Port/map/123233

first contribution to anything for millennia. God damn you jerk and your community sob stories. I can't afford this procrastination.

God damn you all to hell.
>>1421
>Fat AND pregnant

:DDDDDD

>mostly furry and sumo shit

DDDDDD:
>>1429

Bobo, I swear you've used that exact image before.

Also these are all great! I've been meaning to get back to it, I've been getting over some weird stomach bug thing and haven't had a ton of energy to write.

My life is a constant batch of excuses just good enough to procrastinate on.

>>1430

Oh shit! Nice new chapter!

>>1432

More like:

>Fat

:D

>AND PREGNANT

:D :D :D

>AND FURRY

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

>AND SUMO

Boy, I can't wait to see how badly the formatting gets fucked up on this

It's true. I wrote and posted the very first chapter on the evening of Sept. 10, 2001.

Alice just made Osama bin Laden THAT mad.

okay but how about

Thanks for introducing me to Achewood, I really like it
The best wg story on writing.com imho.
Hope you can contribute, there are a few interesting arcs on this story.

Glad to hear it. Still my favorite webcomic.

>>1444

HAHAHA that's completely awful, yet amazing.
https://www.writing.com/main/interact/item_id/1363002-The-Fattest-Town

Used to be my favourite, concept has a bunch of potential but oh boy, did the quality nosedive. So many people that don't get the concept of suspense and stick insta-fats everywhere.
>>1441

Every KotH image I post is special and unique.

Also, I continued your chaoter! But I also cribbed your intro chapter for Donna and made her fat

I DO MIND

THAT'S IT I'M TURNING THE ENTIRE MEL CARLYLE STORY INTO A FURRY PREGNANT SUMO INTERACTIVE AND NO ONE CAN STOP ME

just kidding i'm working on a new chapter right now <3
Open file (6.48 KB 137x179 Capture.PNG)
>>1462

Trust me, dude. "The Fattest Town" in it's own right has had many iterations in my scrapped story album. It's a fun idea, and one I'm playing with more and more in my "GAMES" that I have grown less and less interested in- Hell, I haven't touched my latest one in almost 3 weeks.

But yeah, "The Fattest Town" had a lot of potential that was killed by people of any sort of writing merit going "Well… I'd rather write in an interactive that actually has people ACTIVE in it."

I may have to write a story about that in the future, if my own self-loathing doesn't get in the way.

>>1476

no, u.

>>1477

All jokes aside about everyone sitting on a fig (You'll wish you didn't)

What do you want to see in this particular arch?

I (briefly) lived with two stoners, and I MEAN the title "stoner" in ever sense of the word. One ballooned and gained over thirty pounds in three months, and was absolutely flabbergasted at this fact.

This was because they ate Panera Bread at least twice a week because it was "healthy", despite getting a bowl of mac and cheese, an entire sandwich, chips, and a massive coffee drink to go with it.

Point being, Bobo has thrown out a healthy loaf of manna that should be happily munched upon.

I'm finishing up a chapter now, but I'm curious for input for the future <3
>>1483

Stoners are fun! I've been meaning to acknowledge the fact that Mel and her friends partake in the Devil's Lettuce for a while now, I just finally buckled down and did it.

I don't INTEND on it being an all the time plot point, but I wouldn't be adverse to it being mentioned more often.

There are a couple of things I'd like to work into this arc specifically, like Mel teaming up with her friends to make Brooke fat or Donna slowly chubbing up in a way that's less "obvious" than how I tend to write stuff, but other than that, my slate's blank.

I'm with Jerkster! Any suggestions or things you guys might like to see?
>>1490

Personally I'd like that little detail mentioned a bit more as well. Also quite like how the three (Donna and the others) all have somewhat differing views on being fat and whatnot. Would like to see more of that and the whole conflict.

I'd like to see other chapters fleshed out a bit more as well sometime if y'all don't mind. Sure, we got a bit of Mel and Hannah in Buttercombe, but I feel like there's much more freedom with this interactive since they're young adults and not stuck at the academy and surrounding areas.

Another arc I feel like needs a bit more is Rhonda and Sally (either them dating or already married/both aunts wise)
Relevant because "writing.com", this part of this interactive is long, generally well-written, and entertaining.

https://www.writing.com/main/interact/item_id/1962160-Dangan-Ronpa-Female-Weight-Gain/map/122
>That most recent Cerys and Katrina gossip chapter in BC

Please… I can only handle so much Sung teasi.
Anyone YFF ideas in the back-burner?
I'm not a huge fan of the story, mostly because I dislike slob, but how damn someone is salty over that ancient ring interactive
>>1559
Seconding this idea.
>>1562
yeah i heard about this.

look even though i'm the main contributor to that story it's still not ideal. all i want is a plain jane interactive related to incest and weight gain. is that so much to ask?
What do you think would be different if Alice was the older sister?
>>1618
>first Hermione WG chapter is multi-thousand pound garbage
Dropped.
>>1664
Exactly. I hate that shit.
>>1664
Nah isn't it fantastic? Right away she gains 2 million pounds! Big numbers = kinkier
>New MC Alice chapters updated by Bobo… and spammer kid

Can't have a win without a slap in the nuts
>>1665
Same.

The process is almost more enjoyable than the result.

That and the 'sea of flab' stuff is a bit out of my realm of enjoyment.
>>1676
>>1670
>>1665
>>1664
Na, look in the other storylines.
Whats going on guys, long time lurker here. I kept up with most writing interactives that have been posted since forever. Huge fan of all big names such as BOBO,Mollycoddles and so and so forth. I just wanted some feedback on my first chapter. I know its rough as heck, but none the less constructive criticism is welcome.

Not bad at all, I've seen far, far worse first chapters. I'd say; watch your spelling and punctuation, but otherwise, good job!
If anyone's interested there's a Gundam weight gain interactive. It's got male and female weight gain.

Hi everybody I've just submitted the first part of my very own weight gain story, would appreciate if you guys checked it out, thanks. https://curvesahead.deviantart.com/art/College-Body-Ready-Part-1-Summer-698770691?ga_submit_new=10%3A1502730972
>tfw all my favorite Buttercombe storylines are ded

I'd kill for updates on the Hannah-as-Ashley-Knight's-TA storyline, as well as the storyline where Ronnie puts the screws on Alice and makes her massive.
>>1723
There's a slight problem there in that a) Dugtriet left and b) it's quite a convoluted story chain, involving about 4 teachers - most ways you look at it, at least as far as I can see, each storyline needs a Maria chapter or two before Hannah goes back to Ashley

That said, I'd definitely be up for adding a bit in future
Damn, the DC Comics interactive and most of Buttercombe (except for the cheerleaders line) is pretty dead.
>>1723
>>1757

If you want the truth, the biggest reason for my drop off in Buttercombe is that as I'm getting older, it's harder and harder for me to write for girls who tend to gravitate around the age of 16. I created that interactive when I was 18 and fresh out of high school, so I can't help but feel a little out of sorts when I try to go back to that mindset.

THAT BEING SAID, I really want to get back into the swing of things. I'd love to get back to writing for Ronnie's Alice, and I've been gravitating towards Jen Walker lately.

At any rate, I'm always around! If you're up for a collaboration or just want to spitball ideas, you can always email me on my writing.com account!
>>1759
That's totally understandable.

That said, the TA storyline is quite good for that, though as with most Dougtriet storylines it's gone a somewhat perverse path… not that there's anything wrong with that.

There's also that Mia Underwood storyline iirc
>>1759
I'd love to see more added onto Mia Underwood's storyline. Just more different branching paths and maybe a conclusion or continuation on the weight war between her and Polluck.

Jen Walker could use a bit more branches as well. Personally would love seeing the one where she is promoted to Polluck's head chef added.

I feel like Adeline could use alot of fleshing out as well (pardon the pun!) She's barely gotten anything.
>>1759
Good, good, now you can write more about adult women…
the stories just need more fetish material anyways. it feels like its been ages since we've had anything to do with fat instead of just endless character treadmilling
Soooo I wrote like, a WHOLE BUNCH of Alice the Fat Cheerleader chapters.

https://www.writing.com/main/interact/item_id/1819934-Alice-the-Fat-Cheerleader/map/111111111111111112112312212

They start here.

Enjoy!
>>1759
It would be kind of neat to take one of Jen's big story threads and actually finish it. Like, get it to a "The End" moment. Are there any finished story threads in Buttercombe at all?
>>1795
There's one with Hannah Hammond, and there's another with Ashley Knight & Mia Underwood
I will bloody pay real dollars for additions to that fat Violet Barnes storyline
>>1851
I will sell my house for "Simpsons weight gain story" to come back
>>1407
So when is Bobo posting the new bonus round for mix and match 3? I thought I read somewhere that it would be posted very soon, but that was about a week ago.
Just wanted to say I really like regulus 11's new Buttercombe chapters. I love seeing updates to the SSS storyline and I think the new chapters were well-written.
I haven't cared much for most the SSS storylines since I feel it's just a quick easy way to remove conflict in the characters lives. At least this one's well written.
>>1927
it's way more interesting than just a quick way to remove conflict. It's a fun world building element, it also injects some interesting story elements into threads that didn't really have anywhere to go, and it allows the characters to get fatter without their life just becoming utter hell.

I really like those regulus chapters because they introduce a bunch of other buttercombe characters. Although I was a little dissapointed with how 3 of the 7 are trampltum's characters. I just don't care any more about cerys and arisa, there are so many other good buttercombe characters.
>>1927
The mary-sueness of the characters is what's starting to bug me. Arisa's the fattest and Zahara's the greatest cook ever suddenly. It's getting annoying.
honestly theres just been so many chapters with people just talking and nothing else I've forgotten what's going on

say what you will about 'mary-sue'ness, but at least the recent SSS chapters are about fat characters getting fatter, instead of two thousand sequential chapters of build up with no payoff in sight
Buttercombe has turned into a pile of trash. Just keep throwing more and more new girls into the pile and needlessly having eight or more characters a scene as nothing happens.
It would be great if you guys could work on the Madison's Freshman 15 story. https://www.writing.com/main/interact/item_id/1911783-Madisons-Freshman-15
I think is the best one on Writing.com and it has so many amazing story lines
I'm just happy Ms. Polluck's getting more chapters. She's barely had any before and there was a huge gap in time where the older characters storylines just stopped all together. Older characters (both the teachers/staff and as in time of creation) could definitely use more stories or continuations. I'm getting sick of the new bland girls always getting chapters
Anyone interested in doing anything with Rozy Rhodes? I feel her thread with Yumi is underrated.

So, I know Buttercombe is kind of a steady stream of shit lately, so a lot of you have probably unfollowed it like me, but if you're interested in a wg story more about feels than about Fetish, I'm pretty proud of this.

If anyone has some free time, could you work on this one. I was hoping the risters start fattening katrina(accidentally maybe) to even bigger proportions. Maybe even to where the SSS isn't big enough for her.
I know that Alice has been a bit slow recently, but would anyone consider adding to this chapter. https://www.writing.com/main/interact/item_id/1819934-Alice-the-Fat-Cheerleader/map/111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111121111111121111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111112?add_success=true

The thought of having an obese Laurie finally having her manipulate and bitchy ways come back to hit her in the health issues associated with obesity, and some mobility issues hitting Jen is such a good idea, and while it is a bit hard, if people went morbid with it, then it would be a perfect addition to an underrepresented fetish.
Yo could someone hopefully do this chapter?

>>2183
This question is a joke, right?
What does the buttercombe academy vegetarian options look like? It just seems strange to think there are students eating anything resembling a "diet".
>>2183
Bobo has said it himself that he's getting to the age where writing about high school girls is becoming more difficult.
>>2193
Same reason why I can't get into anime as much as I did before.
Would anyone be willing to keep this line of chapters rolling? Was just beginning to pick up steam then nothing.

>>2182
I like how it's evenly split. It's not just all about their moms all the sudden. Alice Jen and Laurie still have roles to play they're just not the ones gaining.
>>2193
I wish that meant he would come back and do more writing about the teachers and staff. I'd love to see more Pollock or Jen Walker stuff.
>>2209
Agreed. Pollock has been getting a decent amount of chapters but nowhere near the other characters. I wish he'd work more on Pollock, Underwood, Flattery, and Espanosa.
> "At the mercy of their deceptive daughters, Lilith & Moonchild start to balloon!"
>>2210
The Espanosa/Hannah chapters always go straight to my dick.
What this guy said^
>>2215
Hell yeah dude
>>2209

Don't hold your breath. I think it's clear that Bobo's given up. His quality has tanked and it takes him forever to write anything decent.
>>2235
His quality's still there, he's just never in the mood to write about his own characters. And, that's understandable to a point, but I feel like he's gotten a decent amount of time writing about other characters. He should come back now.
>>2235
Normally I see stuff like this and I try to brush it off. Like, you know, try to be nice with maybe a cutesy quip and a King of the Hill gif or something…

But that's just mean, man.

Aside from a few recent commissioned chapters to help me out through the holidays, I don't do this for money. I write for fun and I write so people enjoy it. Comments like this make me regret that decision.

For what it's worth, I'm sorry you haven't been enjoying my recent work. I wish I had the time to write more too.

I'll try not to disappoint in the future, I guess.
>>2235
Personally I think the mom stuff in Alice is the best yet.
Buttercombe also feels like a lost cause at this point.
>>2237
Keep at it dude. I love the chapters you've been adding onto Alice with all their moms fattening up. I just wish we'd see a little more of that with the teachers of buttercombe or some of your other content.

It feels like this one never gets updated anymore and is by far my favourite. Can we get some stuff going in the lauren BE tree pls?
>>2240
IF we could only get a conclusion to Jen's story, I'd be happy. It's the first one I ever followed, and it's also one of the longest. I basically don't want anything else at this point.

I've been really liking your recent work, so screw the haters!

This is the kind of thing that makes me want to just give up on that site. Maybe just give up on the whole interactive aspect and do self-contained stories instead.
>>2252
The sad thing is that they could free up a good deal of resources for the actual site if they just scrapped their hopelessly broken email system and re-purposed the server(s). But instead they'll just find new ways of begging to keep their heads above the water, like implementing a Monero mining applet and splitting so little with the miner that the average user would have to mine for 8 months nonstop just to buy a three-month basic membership.
Oh, wow, I had no idea the "Alice needs SSS" story had been continued some. That was great.
>finish chapter
>can't get into story because free account
>paranoid about getting sniped before I can add it
I swear Writing.com has been getting shittier and shittier with free accounts in the past week. At first it was the occasional "oh, servers full up" and now every damn day I get like 8 "there'z server restrictions now. Pay for a membership!" Getting tired of this BS. Man, I just want my fattywank, man…
Yeah, I've given up on Writing.com. I am not going to pay just to read shitty writing, and with all respect to my peers in this thread, who are all very talented, the majority of writing.com is shit and always was shit.

I know it's not so easy for the lot of you, who invested time and creative energy to these projects, but the writings on the wall. Eventually there won't be any free memberships at all, that's the logical conclusion to this.

If DA suddenly decided to charge us all, would we still stay? Hell no.
>>2270

Yeah. At this point, it seems like interactives are paid-customers only.

It's timing me out for somewhere around twenty minutes every six chapters.

Considering the vast, vast majority of the writing on the site is, "How about X? Yes, or no?" or low-effort filler… there's just no way to actually read anything with the five or ten chapters you're allowed to look at in a session.

Even if the content currently on the site were worth $20 a year, locking everything behind a paywall means new or casual writers won't be adding anything.

I dunno. There are a bunch of new authirs that I've seen crop up in the past few days on Buttercombe. I can't speak to their quality of writing, but they're certainly still there.
I'd love to see a fatter Ruby added to this story. Let's keep this story alive!

I suspect the site owner has delusions of grandeur for what the site is or could be and probably wants to drink bleach when he sees fatty wank interactives dominating the site by word count and traffic.
Can't we like start a petition or bitch to Writing.com Support or something? This shit is getting to be fucking annoying, and unacceptable.
>>2311
How the hell did Writing.com become a sort of hub of this stuff anyways? I've been reading stuff there since the Yahoo Group days.
>>2318
At this point who knows? It was probably just the first place to offer the needed functionality and network effects kept it popular.
>>2319
More importantly, surely there's another website that offers a similar service without the invasive bullshit?
It couldn't possibly be that hard to start our own, could it? A website just dedicated to interactive stories. If you make it very bare bones I would guess you could keep the costs down. You don't need any fancy features for something like this. The transformation website The Changing Mirror (formerly known as Forever Changing) has interactive stories, maybe it could be modeled on that.

Or maybe we could just use that, I dunno.
>>2321
Maybe, but I think a site geared towards fat fetish interactive stories is in order.
>>2323
Agreed
>>2323
Agreed
One problem with "start our own" is that Writing.com has a lot of "legacy" stuff - admittedly, much is crap, but stuff like Your Fat Family or Alice is huge, and in many places pretty good.

Speaking of YFF, I've had some chapters on an immensely slow back-burner, but I swear the story is barely ever updated - does anyone else have any interest in it any more?
I'd even take requests/ideas for storylines you'd like to see get some love if I thought other writers would add as well.
>>2326
That may be, but in cases like this you have to deal with the hand your given, and the hand we've been currently delt is the good stuff and our archives are behind a paywall.

Maybe some brave soul would sacrifice the money and time to archive the entirety of Your Fat Family, but that would be a waste of time, considering how much crap is also in an otherwise great Interactive.

No, we'd just have to restart the story. Rewrite it. And the thing about writing, the rewrite is always better than the first draft. We could create better chapters now, and not be bogged down by continuity either, we'd be start from scratch.

I don't have any technical website building know how, so I can't do it, but I think it's a valid idea and one worth pursuing once everyone else's resolve breaks and we collectively say fuck Writing.com
Sorry to double post, but I want to make a further point that "legacy" doesn't matter because at any given moment stories like Alice or YFF could be deleted.

The fact of life on the internet is that content comes and goes, sites go under and in some cases a decades worth of content is wiped out just like that.

I'm thinking I might just turn what's there of my interactive into self-contained stories at this point. The collaborative thing worked out really well originally, but in recent years it just hasn't been ideal. Now with Writing.com becoming more shit everyday seems like everyone will just lose interest anyways. That all assumes I can find the time to actually start writing again.

Can Buttercombe get some more focus on the staff, please? Seems like there's thousands of chapters for students but the staff chapter lines never seem to go past the 20s…
So, just a thought, but why dont we pool together the $20 for a yearly membership between us for one account? It would at least allow people to view the stuff, and if they wanted to add on their own, then they could get their own, as it is now.

Just my thoughts
>>2347

I want you to say that again to yourself, slowly.
Its come up recently in Buttercombe but it applies everywhere. It is y'all not ya'll. Y'all is a contraction of "you all," ya'll would mean "ya will? More importantly y'all is not used in functionally any singular cases. The exception is an informal way while speaking with a representative of an organization. Like asking a solo cashier "Do y'all have pickles?" Technically it is to a single person however the question is referencing the store as a collective entity as well. Outside of that, when y'all is used it means you AND at least another.

So when trampledude writes "“Well if ya’ll don’ believe me, let’s get ya to a mirror!” Ellie Rae replied, taking Xo…" there is a typo and at least one to infinite more fattened up girls being led to the mirror.

Thanks.

I'm an enormous fan of Hesper as written by Spaghetti Westerner and Adipose Rex, but it seems to have petered out. https://www.writing.com/main/interact/item_id/2141026-Packing-on-Pounds-the-Piper-Black-Story/map/14513

And I thought Pink Lightning couldn't get any more dreadful. Some of his chapters have been at best alright, and by that I mean alright as in "meh, I've read worse". But here is one of those that is just plain awful. Poor narration, generic dialogue with no real emotion, and trademark shoehorning romance with no proper build up all while clearly shifting the story to suit his vision of what good is, in which the bar must be pretty low on that. Read any chapter by Pink, and expect characters to start hooking up for no reason besides obvious degrading appeal. If you're gonna pair characters together, at least make the effort not to rush it. These things need actual development.

Who the hell is Max? Piper's pot dealer, apparently, and oh right Sam's girlfriend. So Max exists just so Piper can be the single one in the group. To say nothing that the chapter route said it's just Sam, Jay, and Madi. Shoving in one dimensional characters that exist only to establish characters in a relationship.

And yet that doesn't compare to the atrociously cobbled mess that is his route on Piper and Mel being roommates. Apparently, a bodacious blonde has to be Mel Carlyle, so there goes any potential fresh start with a new character. And surprise surprise, on his most recent chapter on that, they banged. There's no real writing appeal here. Just stereotypical badly written fanfiction.

Also that tap space with every new paragraph. Yeah we get it Pink, you fancy yourself a professional writer. The written work is still low quality, so I don't see the appeal.
>>2454
Hey fun police, I liked them.

I've been down really lately, and Pink's a good friend who wanted to bump my chapters up. In fact, I asked if it'd be cool to do that Piper and Mel story. Who do you think wrote the chapter choices? They're two of my favorite characters, and Pink was being a good sport and cheering me up.

Point is, these are free chapters that people post. Don't be a douche.

I think you're looking WAY too into this one, dude.

Honestly, the reason that I'm stopping is that I haven't heard back from Molly. I've asked her a couple times about notes on the characters that I'm working with, as well as the direction that I'd like to take the story, and she just hasn't responded to any of my notes. So without any feedback on these characters, I'm kind've at a loss as to where to go.

I'll admit that it's a dumb reason. It's pretty disheartening if you want the truth! I really like what I've done here, but I respect Molly's authority and input on her characters.

TL;DR, I do what I want.
>>2547

Yo buddy, hope you've been well.

You can reply here or send me an email on writing.com. What did you want to know about characters and other things? Next time I talk to her I can ask her a few things, she's a very busy person and I have no doubt she probably read your questions and forgot about them, haha. You're the man, and I loved writing with you!
considering all the cow stuff in Buttercombe, I'm surprised there hasn't been some spill-over into Alice where someone convinces Laurie that her boobs would get bigger if she took lactation pills.
>>2551
That's very kind of you, I'll hit you up onsite.
>>2555
Quick couple questions, and I probably already know the answer to this but:

When do you ever really feel like adding onto your own interactives, either of your own volition or from the few write nights you post asking for suggestions? Seems once in a blue moon (though I understand getting burnt out on the same content and wanting something fresh)

And, have you ever thought of stockpiling the suggestions from those write nights so that you might have some stuff as backup when you want to write but don't know what about?
>>2557
>Okay, this actually turned out WAY longer than I intended. Sorry!
I'm not going to lie when I say that it's definitely me getting burnt out. But it's also a weird mix of my own crappy luck and my demanding job-college-girlfriend schedule. I just don't have the time to write like I used to!

I've been writing for Buttercombe Academy for more than six years now, and in the meantime I've also been doing stuff for Mel, Daven's Port, and various other stories. Since Writing.com's policies have changed, a lot of the people that I've worked with over the years have turned away from the site (though thankfully not their support!) and part of the fun is bouncing off of everyone.

I believe I said it earlier in this thread (or was that oldbbw-chan?) a few months back that I find it harder to write for teenaged characters these days. The restrictions in storytelling that I put on some of these stories are a bit hard to get around sometimes when I'm just not feeling it. Not so much Super-Sized, because I have a lot more freedom to do what I want, at the cost of a "constant" cast of characters to play around with.

H O W E V E R, I do my best to stay up to date with everything, and I'm actually working on something of a Capstone story about Buttercome Academy. I still try to write original stories about characters where there isn't quite so much lore like my Life of Haley series on DeviantArt.

So I guess the reason that I like writing for other stories lately is that I feel that I don't have to prop everything up. It's just sort've there and I can jump right in.
>>2557
Sorry, forgot about the other half of that.

Anyway, I do store most of the suggestions on a word doc that I look at when I get dry. I look at it every time I sit down to write on something other than my serious work. A lot of it is stuff that I really want to get to, I'm just lacking motivation and/or creativity to do it.

But it's all there and saved!
Open file (51.99 KB 140x134 oh_crap.png)
So, anybody else run into this little feature yet?

I'm hoping that it's just some kind of glitch on my end or something so I figured I'd ask, but it seems like whenever I copy/paste a chapter from writing.com into a word document now, it turns it into some kind of read only file that I can't even save to my computer.

I like to save backup copies of the original chapters when I quality edit my interactive, so this is making it a pain in the ass. This is also going to make anyone's plans to move their interactives to another site a hell of a lot more difficult than it already is.

Please tell me I'm just an idiot and fucking something up or there's a workaround. I really hope I'm just overreacting.
>>2624
I think its an error with the this specific word doc.
Go to properties and then permissions on the document to see if theres something up with it.

I do wish that someone would finish that one long Jenny Walker thread in Buttercombe. It would be fun to see someone finish it off.

I know that Buttercombe makes mention of St. Consumpta's, and of Carolyn Dobbins. Do either of them actually make an appearance in the interactive anywhere? I'm feeling nostalgic.
I don't suppose anyone remembers a interactive story. Where the main character has a device that connects to his stomach and the other end to someone else. Transferring the fat or boobs, I remember his aunt asking for him to hold her weight while she goes on a date.

And I have a tangential question for readers from the US:
as I was getting ready to post my character Carolina, I wanted to give her a little above average height, settling on 5'10.

Luckily I checked other students before and found out she'd be towering over them.

Why is this? I consider anything below 5'6 to be small, 5'9 is average and tall starts beyond 6 feet. What are your benchmarks?

Thanks for your replies.
>>3074
The average woman is around 5'4. Your categories are way off real life.
I suppose I should have stressed it more - I am not American, this is why I am asking.

So what do you perceive to be correct?
>>3077
Not him, and also not american, but you're probably looking at a 3 inch window either side for "average", with 5'5" being the centre - any woman above 5'8" is pretty tall, below 5'2" is short.

5'9" is near average male height (depending on where you live)
