New array system discussion LtBarclay 03/27/2018 (Tue) 01:38:34 No. 3679
If you've had a chance to use the new version of the array that integrates with board ( >>>/ct/3507 ), feel free to talk about it here. This is the simplest, cleanest, most self-reliant it's ever been.
How do I find whatever replaced the paste.ee lists of video titles and corresponding tags?
>>3681
if it was a snake it would have bit you
First of all,THANKS A LOT…

I don't know if it's a glitch or not, but when doing foduploadAxxxx, is it case-sensitive?

Did you know? With an average run time of 4 minutes, if you were to watch every file on the array it would take 1200 hours! If you watched 40 hours a week for over just over 7 months, you could get through the whole library!
"talk about the new system here" - doesn't seem to be much discussion, but

well, ITS BLOODY AMAZING. thanks guy/s, was a big fan of array a while back, lost track of it with updates and all, just rediscovered it. and its incredible.

curious though, whats the costs incurred for you to host this? both monetary or otherwise
>>3696
When the array is running 24/7, I typically work on it 8 hours a week and it costs $30 a month.
Lieutenant is the fucking man.
ok this probably sounds stupid but it says the post is locked for me and I cant reply to the post to make a request

Are you trying to use the first test thread that's been locked and not the second thread that's still open?
I think this is the best place to comment here. Have you suddenly had an inspiration from the Emperor Lt.Barclay? Never caught my notice before if not but all your sudden 40k meme modding has made me laugh. I appreciate it at least.
Who's the little shit who thinks it's fun to game the system with multiple post ids? Can't we ban his ass?
>>3737
I already warned him once when he did it with the caitidee videos, then he did it again with rubie. He uses a new IP every post, so there is no effective way to ban him. I'm trying to come up with a way for the array to detect if a model has already been requested in the past 15-30 minutes and ignore the request if so, but that will take some time. This guy went through a lot of effort to scrape the array and ruin it for everyone by hogging the queue.
Am I missing something? Every time I try to download a file on MAB it gets to 100% then page refreshes and says

"Your file was not found
It may have been moved or deleted.
ERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND"
Nevermind I guess Chrome is just garbage

Works with Firefox
>>3738

The simplest work around I can see is to amend your present code to ignore any request too close to something presently uploaded. If someone takes a file say A1300, then ignore any upload request between a range of say A1200-A1400. Don't use 100 and be vague about it in your guidelines, also specify the time randomly aswell.

Like I say, an easier work around. Maybe go back to rizon-chat model?

It would theoretically be possible to do similar there but you could amend the bot code there to only print the link if requestor was still in chat.

Either way, pretty low to have spammed the request in by flicking onto a new VPN ip. Fuck, was there not enough in the list already? I took half a dozen mab links whilst waiting for what I wanted.
Forgot to say, great work though!
Why the array is offline?!
what about, for a much less entertaining but more controlled system, is it possible to auto lock the thread every time a comment/request is made for perhaps 30 min or something

Some asshat decided to game the system with multiple ips and hog the queue. I'm currently developing countermeasures.
>>3778
Mmm, not really feasible. The API is read only.
>>3753
Yup, I'll be doing something very similar.
>>3792
When will the array be online again?

idk really. Every time I sit down to do the work, I start thinking "why bother?". It's not as if fixing the array is going to get any more donations, and it's not as if the array is actually appreciated. It's just another side job, and I have enough IRL work to do.
Please start array we are waiting to start it

>>4021
Lol… yeah? Are you? Are YOU waiting to start it? Seems to me I'm the one expected to do the work and maintain it, not you guys. Anyway, the array is online for further testing you horndogs.
>>4023
Not sure if it's a feature or a bug, but it seems to be stuck on bigcutie Ellie vids.
>>4050
No, thats some jagoff named Jo/Pear that is going out of his way to queue hog. It works if he's the only one in the queue. If other people start making requests, his will take lower priority.
Alright so, the array is shut down again. My simple anti-hog measure I put in place isn't enough. Essentially, what it was doing was taking a request, putting it into the queue, then, on the next request, checking to is if it was within (random number) of any other request in the queue, and ignoring it if it was until it no longer was within range of anything else in the queue. All this does is delay queue hogging if the hog and other people are making requests at the same time. If the hog is the only one in the queue, if they use multiple post IDs, their requests will still only be added to the queue one at a time, but it will pick up their other requests as their earlier ones fill. The only way I can think to mitigate this is giving out packs of single use codes that get appended to requests. So, I'm going to mull over what we do with the array going forward, but one thing I will NOT abide by is not having variety on the array. Seeing 20 straight uploads of ellie or BigMommaKat in a row makes me so fucking mad. If you want EVERYTHING, just, fucking ask? Why fuck up the experience for everyone because of your greed?
>>4054
Maybe just do some rate-limiting per-directory (i.e. blacklist a directory for a few hours if if it gets so many requests in a certain period). There are potential downsides to that (some asshole could come along and just lock out every folder, effectively DoSing the array), but it would make scraping so painfully slow that nobody would bother.
Hello everyone.
I'm really sorry for the problem. I gave the address of an array to one of my friends. He, with the utter foolishness, made it difficult for others to ask for the video. I fought and talked with him. I cleared the site from his computer. I do not think he can enter the site anymore. Now you can start the array without worry. I guarantee not to happen anymore.
Finally, I apologize to all friends
>>4061

That's pretty much utter shite and we all see thru it. You blocked the array up yourself and now attempt to apologize for it when you realized it got taken offline because of your actions as if it were some 'friend' of yours.

Let's hope for everyone else the array isn't gone for good. You sir, are a real full-weight fucking asshat.
Your saying is very correct and the person should not be selfish

Rather than blacklisting the directory when it gets too many requests, can you pad one of your LtBarclay pictures to the requested filesize and upload it instead of the video, or something along these lines? I think that would be funnier.

What do you take me for, some kind of moron? "I cleared the site from his computer"… WTF does that even mean? You have control over your "friend"'s router? You administer their local network? You remotely changed their hosts file? Fucking please. You couldn't take the time to come up with a better lie? It makes me more mad you decided to come up with this bullshit rather than just admit you're a greedy little hoarder.

>>4055
>>4079
I don't know, at a certain point, you have to ask yourself, if you have to come up with multiple layers of protection against asshattery, is it worth the fucking effort? I'm going to go ahead and say no, it isn't. I'm going out of my way to be selfless and share as much as I can, but assholes care little about my motives, and a lot about their own dick. I really don't know why I bother.
Why start again the array?
I think they are punished ?
Please start again array

Same greedy fucking asshat as before we assume?

We don't know your name so let's just call you Jo/Pear/Gorge/Fucking Donut Head! It ain't coming back, you fucked it up months ago. But, that world where you live in now makes you think you can casually just comeback here and request it goes back online?

Seriously, I think I say it for pretty much all on here, get fucked dick!
