This kills the Tumblr.
But memes aside, I wonder if this will even go through- with no porn, how much site traffic will they honestly expect to generate? Still, plan to backup everything, everyone.

I don't know how it surprised anyways but I'm hoping they actually go through with it because it'll get people everyone up in arms over companies strong arming others. Maybe then we'll see the government break them up and extend free speech to the internet.
so frustrating and sad, i get so much good porn from tumblr fatty blogs. i wonder what, if anything, will take its place.

please dont let it be nothing.. really cant be fucked with places like connectpal/snapchat etc.

i don't know how far they are going to go with it. most of the fatty porn is not even really porn, there's no full nudity or fucking, it's fully clothed women eating food or doing sexy poses. it's not fair to classify that as "adult content" just because they are fat. what, skinny girls can post pics of themselves eating mcdonalds but fat girls can't? that's pretty racist, tumblr.

Right now, i'm checking out " pillowfort.io " which was started and conceptualized as a replacement for tumblr and it's faults, like gobbling RAM and poor interfaces. It requires a cash stipend up front to make a page, but TBH that would seriously cut down on the ads/nazis/sjws/bots straight out of the gate. I'm gonna do more research and see if it's worth it or not.

I came here to say exactly that, i regularly post ssbbw pics on my blog (and ofc reblog a lot), and i'd say that at least 90% of the banned content is no nude/no sex.
I wouldn't be surprised if one the targeted communities is us guys.

Wasn't part of the reason Pillowfort was conceived also due to Tumblr not being a safe enough space, or am I thinking of something else?

They'll purge everything up until they get to the stuff Google supports

Everyone but and even then they'll make a stink about anything they're excluded from until they get it forced off the net.
It’d be hilarious if tumblr ends up tanking itself into nothing when everyone abandons it for other platforms. How-to-kill your website in one easy step!

THE END IS NEIGH!
Here's hoping they're not dumb enough to take out everyones porn.
Remember net netruality? Remeber when nobody gave a shit 2 days after?

This.

Every time we think the world is ending, and it doesn't. Then everyone moves on to the next propaganda.

I'll miss Tumblr slightly, but good riddance for poisoning an entire generation of girls with insanity and warped beliefs.

Although if anything, I could be thankful for the
Reaction tumblr caused by breeding so many SJW caricatures....

Tumblr is cancer and hostile. Yet it's still better than Patheos

Just because you're not personally feeling the fallout of the abolition of net neutrality doesn't mean the rest of us aren't. Net neutrality being gone wasn't going to be a hammer, it was going to be a chisel, slowly chipping away as you don't even notice pieces have gone missing. I can assure you that Comcast and Charter users in specific areas have absolutely felt throttled internet speeds when trying to visit certain websites that are against those cable companies' pecuniary or political interests.

I'm pretty sure Comcast might be the most evil cable company on planet earth, honestly. Bait and switch tactics, non-advantageous bundling, internet throttling, and that whole fiasco where they wanted to charge cable internet users for data usage like a mobile phone company (even though it costs them less than pennies to provide gigabits worth of bandwidth...).

The FCC shot these assholes down then, but now that they've caved to lobbying and allowed net neutrality to die (a lot of them baby boomers who don't even fathom the consequences but are well aware of a cable company lobbying check) it's only a matter of time before ISPs are allowed to engage in even more customer-unfriendly (but lucrative) practices.
