New ad campaign feedback LtBarclay##FuufeZ 04/11/2019 (Thu) 21:36:21 Id:adadcd No. 7213
I'm rolling out a test of anonymous ads on the homepage and the top of the boards. If it's in your hearts, please disable your ad-blocker and give me feedback on whether the ads are shady, attempt to do pop-unders, are re-direct loops, completely non-relevant, etc. If this is better than adbit, it could easily generate 20% or so of our monthly costs, but if it impacts the usability of the site at all I want to know. So far, it appears to block almost all VPN connections from displaying ads, which is a bummer, but it's basically the only game in town so...

Man, you have the best chan-engine I've even seen. But regarding the ad you shouldn't try to invent something: just use the ad squares like 4chan does. That's it.
Might I suggest to add those Ads to the threads themselves as well?
I only have a few threads open and I don't use the main page... making that I don't get the Ads.

I don't know how the payout structure is, but if it's based on impressions instead of clicks then adding them to the threads would be best for the payout to be generated.

Also if it is based on impressions you might want to check if it possible to let thread refresh themselves as a page instead of the normal 'update'.
The 'refresh' only appends the extra posts with the current page without a full refresh (as it looks to me, but could be wrong)... which makes that the Ad would only get generated on opening of the thread or manual refresh (F5).
