Guys who like fatties are under stress
http://healthland.time.com/2012/08/09/why-stressed-out-men-prefer-heavier-women/
This explains why ancient people liked sumo sized women,

But what about women? Like stuffing kit. She claims to have had this fetish since childhood? Any thoughts on this guys?
I call bullshit on that. I just love fat girls.
sounds like bollocks to me
This is one of those studies where you shouldn't believe anything you see ;)

I love fat girls for as long as I can remember..
Basically the first girls or women I fell for when I started being interested in females were all fat and ssbbw types

And neither did I have a stressful childhood nor a overly stressful life right now

It's just how my preference got wired up and down there ;)
If you read the article linked, it's describing a relatively subtle change.

TLDR: They rated photos of women on a scale from 1 to 10, 1 being very thin and 10 being obese, and asked both stressed and non-stressed groups of men to rate their attractiveness. They found that stressed men jumped about half a point on their ideal size, and almost a full point on the largest woman they rated attractive.

They don't go into detail about how their rating system converts to pounds in the real world, but they're making it seem like they're talking about a 15-20 pound swing here, max. They describe 10 as "obese." If 10 maxes out at the lower limit of obese and we're dealing with women of average height, the fattest pic in the lineup can't have been much higher than 200 pounds.

This does not explain why ancient people liked "sumo sized women."

In fact, there's no evidence that a majority of ancient people were attracted to very large women outside of very specific tribes, or that that attraction was related to stress. If your position were true, we'd have accounts of Native American hunter gatherer tribes with incredibly fat women by early European settlers, but no such accounts exist.

It seems like this is a conclusion you wanted to reach, so you cherry picked some ideas, took the ball, and ran with it. This isn't meant to be an attack, we've all wanted to believe something and ignored facts that proved us wrong at some point in our lives, but your conclusion makes no sense.
Almost all of the women I've talked to didn't get into this fetish because they were sexually aroused by the thought of being fat, but because they had low self-esteem and body image issues.

Gaining turns you into an Internet celebrity overnight, where you get showered with compliments daily by guys who would have never given you the time of day when you were thin.

i don't think it'd be viable for them to feed multiple or even one of their women to obesity since it'd probably be at the expense of the rest of the tribe's food with the resources they had. early man wanting big women was obviously a sort of ideal. those venus statues were harvest charms since her weight symbolized an excess

Perhaps natives couldn't get fat because they were hunter gatherer.

That there be a load of crap. I've like fatties since before I started living a stress filled life.
I remember somebody once said that children who report being underfed in childhood tend to prefer heavier women in adulthood. Apparently it was based on statistical correlation.

Given the absolute state of the "Social Sciences" though, I'd like to review that data myself. Anybody happen to know which study Anon might have been referencing?

I've not seen that. It would be an interesting read me thinks. I know I don't fit that classification either on why I like the large lovelies.
>>8458
Eh its one of those misconstrued studies, its more like the guys (who aren't degenerate fat fetishes such as ourselves) probably married some thin chick and she blimped out making them stressed out, but because they don't want to say anything they say the prefer their wives as such.

Honestly if you have a preference it was something that probably formed during your child hood due to past experiences.
"The images were numbered on a scale of 1 to 10 based on the women’s body mass index (BMI), with 1 representing very thin and 10 obese. The largest body size rated attractive by the stressed-out men was 7.17, which fell in the overweight category. The largest body type deemed attractive by the unstressed control group was 6.25, which was considered normal on the BMI scale."

Lol that's such a negligible difference, why was the article even published?

Clickbait, most likely. They found a study that came to a minor (but statistically significant) conclusion where they could make a title like "Stressed Men like Fat(ter) Chicks!" and not technically be lying.

The native americans, like the sioux where nomadic. With scarce resources and the need to walk from place to place obesity would be detrimental to that.

Now I have heard stories that some tribes prefered bigger women, although probably nothing that would be qualifing as an SSBBW. I assume that these preferences would be for the stationary tribes that have had some developed agriculture and better permanet shelters.

I do know for certain that stationary tribes did exist in souther california.
I work in catering and can personally vouch for it. My brother's girlfriend is a fatty and she seems like a nice person. He's a wrestler and we're black. Theres a lot of pressure to eat right, gain weight and be successful. My pastor is black and his wife is a fat Philipino.

Stressed out people just don't want to be around people who remind them of their parents. They seek out friends. My mom a d Sis are fatter than me but stout, my dad called my mom a gorilla multiple times when he was angry at her
