Hopefully we can get some button popping or slight clothes tearing this time
literally splooged the moment I saw

any news what the animation style will be like
>>3633
Absolutely no chance.
This is still supposed to be a kids movie. You MIGHT get a belt pop.

>>3635
maybe it will be more like musical
"highest quality animation and production values" Been lied to before but hoping its great.
>>3641
Anything's better than the Tom and Jerry version.
Holy fucking shit yes!!!!!!
Ahhhh!!! Bets on how big she gets this time around?
>>3651
i was wondering when someone would bring that up
Would be nice to see a fresh take, hopefully larger
>>3659
larger than 2005 because that was pretty big
Best case scenario Violet is a cute late teens blonde/brunette (hopefully back to long hair this time) and we feel bad for her or embarrassed during her punishment where she ends up large and round.

But there are so many potential bad scenarios that I can’t decide which is the worst. She could be elementary age. They could draw her character design as hideous/ugly to make the audience dislike her right away. Or she could be ghetto-tized like the broadway production and be black and sassy. Or the inflation and final shape/size could be utterly disappointing and odd. There are a lot of ways this could go and I’m trying not to get my hopes up rn but it’s very hard since this will be produced for a major company and likely have lots of money/resources during creation.

Rooting for the responsible for this scene be "one of us".
>>3672

literally praying every night for Dobson to get his breakthrough as an animator
how well known / infamous is the blueberry fetish nowadays? i mean during the 60s 70s 80s 90s early 2000s it wasn't well known if there was a fandom at all because pre-internet

but now for instance you type in violet beauregarde you see all the people perving about it

so when they are coming up with this scene do you think they have a discussion about the blueberry fetish and how they will either appeal to it, or try to discourage it, or do they act like it doesn't exist?
>>3666
She's gonna be a kid because not even Netflix is dumb enough to attempt edging up a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory remake with a cartoon. They won't make her ugly unless they try to modernize the designs but if I were you I'd be more worried about Netflixs heavy interest in diversifying and rewriting established characters.

>>3673
>praying every night for Dobson to get his breakthrough as an animator
The chances for this to be good is bad enough without that cocksucking piece of shit.

>>3674
No one would care and especially Netflix since they have a cartoon series with naked underaged characters.
>>3635

Well nothing too crazy, kind of like the aunt in harry potter.
>>3635
2005 had violet moaning the whole time. Imagine what they'll do without ratings.
My number one concern atm is that they hire someone who does a more photorealistic style of animation and not some flapjack or fairly OddParents style crap.

And no she’s not gonna moan. Not like that. I feel like this is the most fleshed out Violet and her scene will be. We just have to hope it visually appeals
>>3678

>No one would care and especially Netflix since they have a cartoon series with naked underaged characters.

what are you talking about?

>>3732
Even just one of those traits would ruin her character and the entire Netflix movie/series for me.
>>3735
They'd change Charlie and Gramps into strong black females but exacerbate everyone elses negative personalities. Willy will be a Mexican and the Oompa Loompas will be Not-Trumps. On the bright side you guys might finally get a pop or canon blueberry Veruca.
>>3740
wtf is a Not-Trump?
Why do y’all pedos care about the girls race?
>>3745
I think it is not necessarily the race they have an issue with, but the exaggerated stereotype of that race that detracts from the character as they were originally written.
>>3744
The excuse people will give when others point it out.

>>3745
Because it's a clear sign a movie will be shit.
So what if it is? Aren't there already like five or more adaptations of Charlie anyway? I'm more concerned with them doing another BFG 'cause the Disney Spielberg one was damned amazing! lol

If they make her cute and chubby like the original then I'm down with whatever
>>3753

You aren't very bright, are you?
Y’all mfs would deny yourselves a bomb ass Violet scene depicted by Salma Hayek or some hot Japanese chick just bc “reeee diversity”
Let Violet be whoever as long as its good
Worrying about what race the pre-teen girl Violet is depicted as just seems gross to me. The ambiguity surrounding the Violet thing disappears when you concern yourself with a race preference. She's gonna be a kid... which I assume all of you are not.
>>3791
>>3777

I’d just like her character to be how it is in the book at the least, or the way Dahl intended and imagined it instead of changing a major aspect to make her more inclusive. Just look at the newest rendition of Starfire for the new Teen Titans movie and compare it to her original cartoon... That’s what I’m afraid of
>>3796
Violet is only described as being “tomboyish, curly haired, and with a big mouth” in the book so you’re not asking for much to be making comparisons to live action Starfire...
>>3797
Hit me with that JK Rowling black hermione logic
She's going to turn blue anyways.
>>3802
Hermonie was never black, that's bullshit
>>3791

Have you fapped to the scene or not?

If so then fuck off.
>>3802
You guys are so petty that even if Violet is “hot” but not white you’ll catch a shit fit. I hope she’s black or brown as hell so that the reeeeeing on this board never ends
>>3809

hate to break it to you but what gets you up is what gets you up. pettiness doesn't come into it. it's an unconscious reaction. hell if i had a say in the matter i wouldnt be attracted to blueberries at all.

>>3802
Gonna leave this here for both of you to enjoy
>>3809
Sorry my wiener is racist
>>3813
You're so right these people are morons
white-faced
adjective
pale from fear, ill health, or tiredness.
"she emerged white-faced and shaking"
>>3825
Oh bullshit it says "Her white faced" Don't reshuffle words to fill your PC white guilt narrative
As much as I liked the Burton blueberry scene, I hated how dark everything was. You had a extremely dark purple Violet in a super dark room. I couldn't even tell her belly button was exposed with how dark everything was
>>3829
That’s probably the biggest flaw in my opinion as well. The original scene was in a colorful room, but violet stood out in contrast color-wise. In the newer film she basically blends in with the dark environment. Her skin gets so dark that you can barely tell her facial expressions from a distance. I don’t know why they didn’t choose better lighting or set colors, it would actually improve the CGI and film by making the special effects stand out more.
>>3826
Give it time and Rowling will reveal that Hermione was wearing white face to fight against Hogwarts lack of diversity, just have faith in her intelligence!

>>3829
>>3831
>likes Burton Blueberrry
>hates Burton atmosphere
You are both posers who will never understand the dark heart that is Tim Burton.
>>3835

I think he meant the literal colors, Burton's Berry was far more imaginative considering the transformation and size, but a common problem in using CGI is you need either really damn good CGI, or CGI surrounded in shadows to make it passable.

It's kind of a cheap movie technique.
do you guys think someone doing the effects had a blueberry fetish or something? i mean if you take a step back and look it at it's pretty damn weird and even perverted. there is a focus on her ass that some poor designer out there had to animate. then there's the fact you see a lot of skin and her moaning. if it wasnt for the fetish id think this scene is pretty disturbing.

actually i've never actually got what the viewer is supposed to feel during the blueberry scenes. Is it suppose to be funny? horrific? both ? what a bizarre thing for the original writer to come up with.
>>3854
>do you guys think someone doing the effects had a blueberry fetish or something?
They just wanted to make the scene disturbing
>i've never actually got what the viewer is supposed to feel during the blueberry scenes
Depends on who's behind which version you're looking at
Original probably just wanted a fantastical candy factory and with that you just have to have an area where you are what you eat. First movie was easily comedy and Burton is just more of his goth bait bleeding in and making the blueberry scene as weird as they could.
