I'm very unhappy with the moderation for a number of reasons that I can't put to appropriate words right now due to being sleepy af.
In short though:
>Stop using the "this isn't 4chan" excuse and own up to the way that people tend to behave here, rather than trying to suppress it, because this is an imageboard, and the majority of the community is from 4chan/8chan, and always has been. If you wanted a reddit hugbox, you could've just as easily remade the site as a subreddit and had that kind of community. None of this is to say that people should be irredeemable pricks at all times, but you seem to have unrealistic expectations of the community here, and you need to rein those in and accept the reality.
>Stop enabling people acting like turbocunts on either side of an argument. That means not favoring literal autistic manchildren like TheDarkMaster, or the anons overreacting to his posts or insulting him, either; they're both contributing to derailing threads, so fucking ban them both and let them sit on the sidelines until they learn to behave. Use ban messages and make this crystal clear when you do it.
>Stop with the aggressive enforcement of "if you don't like it, hide it." Everyone knows to hide threads they're not interested in, but expecting people to hide every post, every image, and every thread they dislike is completely unrealistic. Someone's going to complain, especially if shitposters are bombarding threads with low quality trash or frequently posting new threads rather than bumping their old ones
>Don't clog up the front page of a board with multiple stickies. Compile them all into one sticky, or a sticky with 1-2 replies so that they're all fully visible.
I probably have a lot more shit to complain about, but those are the big things that immediately come to mind. I'm really not looking for an argument here, or a rebuttal in the form of "UM, NO SWEETIE, WE KNOW BEST," but as a former moderator from old bbw-chan I thought my two cents might be worth something. I only really post on or pay attention to /bbwalt/ and /bbwdraw/ though, to be fair.
