Post IDs have returned. You can turn off the bright colors in the options in the upper right.

Double and triple posting, and -HB files on the array — by admin at 04/28/17 (Fri) 04:15:56

I am investigating this issue. If this has happened to your posts, please drop by /fb/ and try to replicate in the thread. I -think- it's isolated to /bbwreal/, but unsure.
You might have missed that we are slowly but surely converting files on the array to h265 format. This saves us a great deal of space with basically 0% quality loss. However, not all video players can decode this format out of the box. If you download one of these converted files and it doesn't play or you only get audio, try playing the file in VLC player which has x265 decoding built in.

Oy. — by admin at 04/26/17 (Wed) 00:16:38

3 weeks. 38 cents. That was the payout from Adbit. Yeah. Not worth it. Ads are gone. I had thought about doing another clips4sale vote to celebrate 30,000 posts, but we're kind of in the red this month. Maybe 50,000…

The return of ads! — by admin at 04/04/17 (Tue) 01:36:19

Although adbit did not really pay out very well, they were the only bitcoin-payment advertising provider that did not blacklist us. So, now that we are a little bit more firmly established and have better traffic than when we originally signed up, I'm bringing back the ads on the sidebar, news page, and the top of all boards. This is just a trial run. If after a month the payout is still worthless, I will remove the ads.

Sorry if that scared anyone... — by admin at 03/29/17 (Wed) 11:39:50

As part of my site continuity plan, I simulated a database failure similar to what happened on the old site by dropping a SQL table. I then tried to restore a backup I had made just prior. I expected a post/thread loss of no more than 30 minutes, but it turns out it was closer to 7 hours. Sorry, newbie sysop mistake. Hopefully nothing too important was lost :\

On the plus side, I did confirm we can recover from database failure! So.. that's good.

To make up for the downtime... — by admin at 03/23/17 (Thu) 12:15:12

I spent a few hours adding / fixing some features by cannibalizing 8ch's code.

1. Thread stats no longer display '?' pages.
2. Thread watch + desktop notifications are enabled (check options in upper right). If you're not familiar, you need to have the thread open in reply mode to get notifications. So if you want to stay on top of a thread without staring at it, open it in reply mode in a new tab with auto-update enabled.
3. Catalog search / auto update is enabled.
4. Post form now shows remaining charecters
5. Spam-prevention has been loosened, hopefully less "your post looks automated" messages.
6. User CSS / JS / Filters are enabled (check options)
7. Boards are now anchored to the top of the page like a normal chan
8. You can now expand all images on a page at once.
9. Download-all is enabled (go into reply mode to see the link)
10. Tree view is enabled to make longer threads more readable.

And lots of other little fixes, enjoy!

I guess I was a little overzealous with "fixing" the SSL cert renewal problem, and I accidentally set it to renew too often. We can't use the free Let's Encrypt certs for 7 days. I've gone ahead and just bought a real SSL cert from Comodo with the recent $15 bitcoin donation. Thanks to whoever contributed that, came in really handy!

Whoops! — by admin at 03/22/17 (Wed) 09:16:25

I had some derp issues and we were down for about 4 hours. Some configs had to be re-done. We may have lost 4-5 posts, sorry about that. Shouldn't happen again.

We have a new emergency broadcast system, http://www.plurk.com/ltbarclay

Updated DMCA Information — by admin at 03/20/17 (Mon) 22:40:24

As we are now hosted in a country and by a company which does not comply with DMCAs, I am providing another avenue to bring attention to other similar things (revenge porn, etc). You may e-mail help@bbw-chan.nl with any concerns about content that needs to be removed.

—WARNING GMAIL USERS: Apparently there is currently a spam campaign coming from another server in the same farm we are in, so Google has blocked our subnet. We are unable to reply to e-mails from gmail users at this time. Please use another e-mail service if you expect a reply to emails at this address

Please be advised you will get better responses by just talking to us like people. Do not start sending form letters and having middle-men lawyers threaten us. That won't work. We aren't evil, we're pirates. If you ask nicely, Jess might comply with your content removal request.

Revised Rules — by admin at 03/20/17 (Mon) 08:35:46

1. No posting of copyrighted material unless you have permission.

2. No Voyeur-Predators.
In plain English, no snapping photos of Joe-Anna Average on her day to day activities without his/her awareness or consent.
Subjects in the photos you've taken must be aware they're being/have been photographed and acknowledge or permit you doing so.

3. No bitching/trolling/abuse.
This also means ignoring the thread if you don't like the subject matter. Just move along.

4. Keep content coherent to the categories.

5. No concern trolling or fatphobia.

6. No soliciting charity or donations without prior moderator approval.

7. Nudity eventually or quietly leave.
This is a haven for appreciation of the nude human form.
As such, full or partial nudity will be required eventually by all contributors - to be determined on a case-by-case basis by the board moderators.
We don't want to scare anybody away, but we do want you to know what will be expected.

8. You MUST be at least a size 14 to post in the BBW categories.

9. NO TRADING CONTENT.
Example: "I have pictures of X, but I will only post them if someone gives me pictures of Y."
Either post content or don't. Holding content for ransom defeats the purpose of imageboards. The more content that gets posted, the happier everyone will be. Sharing is caring.

10. You may not use pay-per-download file hosts, use CPA link forwarders, or try to make money off of our users in any way.
If you try to mask a pay-per-download file host with a URL shortener or a CPA link, you will be permabanned.

11. Request only threads are no longer permitted. You must share content roughly the same size as the request when creating the thread. For example, if you request multiple videos, then you must share multiple videos as well. The share should ideally be the same model/theme as the request, but if that is not possible, as long as it pertains to the board it is being posted on is fine. See below for more details.

12. Never post ANY personal identifiable information about models. That includes facebook, e-mail addresses, where they work IRL, etc etc. Use common sense.

SSL now enabled — by LtBarclay at 12/22/16 (Thu) 15:32:14

To further keep our site safe and secure, SSL/TLS is now enabled, with only the most current ciphers. You should be able to confirm this via the lock icon in the address bar. If you're still using IE6 on Windows XP, you're shit out of luck. Otherwise, everyone should be good to go.

Site maintenance complete! — by LtBarclay at 12/17/16 (Sat) 10:19:14

We are now running nginx + php7.0 + vestacp! Images / Gifs / Webms should load faster, page generation should be faster, and our server is hardened! Please let me know in /fb/ if there are any issues with the new software.

Site maintenance delayed — by LtBarlclay at 12/15/16 (Thu) 13:41:24

There are still a few kinks to work out moving over to the new software. I am pushing back the maintenance window to the weekend.

Site maintenance coming within 24 hours — by LtBarclay at 12/14/16 (Wed) 04:06:48

Hello explorers. I hope you're all enjoying the new site. Just a quick note, sometime in the next 24 hours (can't give an exact time), I will need to take the site down for an hour or two to re-do some configuration. This is the very first time I've brought up a site of this complexity, and I overlooked a few things. Specifically, I chose Apache, which at this point more people than I can count have told me is a terrible idea and I should move to Nginx or really, anything else. In addition, I'll be doing some basic hardening on the server to better protect it from a security / port / user / software perspective. These changes should not take too long, and I will redirect to a temporary page during that time with some basic info about using the array so you can stay busy during the maintenance window. While I hate to bring the site down for any amount of time so soon after bringing it up, it's better that we do this now rather than later. All current data/threads/settings will carry over. Please bear with me, I promise it will be worth it in the long run.

We've moved! — by LtBarclay at 12/13/16 (Tue) 05:08:37

If you're seeing this message, you are now seeing the site hosted on Ecatel, rather than Orangewebsite. Ecatel offers similar anonymous and private hosting, at a much more competitive rate. We now have full root access, 500GB drive space (up from 80GB), 10TB monthly bandwidth (up from 2TB) and the ability to add features like oekaki, webms, image hover etc. Yay!

Welcome to the new bbw-chan! — by LtBarclay at 12/10/16 (Sat) 11:12:20

Hello explorers, it's LtBarclay. You may know me as the guy who brought up and maintains #fodarray on Rizon.

As we moved closer to 2017, it was obvious something had to be done about the administration of this chan. Databases were broken, the admin was on silent running for over 6 months, and mods were helpless. With the cooperation of TSG and Jess, we are back online with a new site. Very little has changed. What has changed:

1. A few boards have been removed. I did not feel /Penis/, /Futanari/, or /BHM/ fit into the nature of the site. I am not against adding them back if there is a demand for it, but those boards seem seldom used and I feel like the content that was there was different enough from the bbw "theme" that those who frequented them would be better served somewhere else.

2. Hosting is now in Iceland. For the moment, we will continue to observe DMCA requests, but in all honesty, convincing an Icelandic judge to give an injunction would be a difficult thing indeed. In addition, hosting is paid for in Bitcoin, if anything ever happens, the site can pick back up where it left off on another host.

3. Our hosting choice as of now was not able to enable some of the advanced features of vichan, so some image types may not be supported. There is also a shorter max page length on boards (7 instead of 10) to save on bandwidth.

That's about it for now. Please leave any feedback you have on the feedback board, and welcome! I wasn't able to move any content from the old board, so get to posting! Let the new threads deliver us from boredom!

Request Threads — by admin at 12/10/16 (Sat) 10:06:58

It is the responsibility of the OP to share something when they create a request thread.

The share must be roughly the same size as the request. For example, if you request videos but only share a handful of pics, that is NOT a fair share.

The share should ideally be the same model/theme as the request, but if that is not possible, as long as it pertains to the board it is being posted on is fine.

For now you do not have to share anything if you make a request in an existing thread provided that your request is for the same model.

Creating a request thread without sharing content will result in the deletion of the thread and possibly the banning of the individual. The same holds true for any request post within an existing thread if the request is for something other than the original topic.

Shares must be in the forms of posting content directly to the board or to a file host such as MAB, mega, or zippyshare by the OP. Any other type of external links are not permitted for these types of shares.
